Realizzata per il Rito della Luce per la Fondazione Fiumara d’arte a Motta D’Affermo davanti la piramide dell’artista Mauro Staccioli. La parola come mandala, in un momento di preghiera come sospensione, come luogo sacro in cui fermarsi.
La parola presente ma scevra di ogni romanticismo, si veste nella sua ricerca di bisogno di utilizzo. Senza grande consapevolezza del suo impiego, ma certamente necessaria a quell’espressione.

The artist chose the word WAITING in a historic moment in which no one stops waiting, but we have many expectations. The work creates an atmosphere of suspension; it’s the moment of a request, a prayer towards the sky. Longo celebrates a moment of great changes with the perspective that something is also the illusion of something else.
The work was realized for the Light Ritual in Motta d’Affermo, in front of the spectacular pyramid by the artist Mauro Staccioli. WAITING is a large sign that is reflected in a “sacred” place, it is also an echo composed by the prayers of hundreds of people.
